Week 2 / Project 1A: Physical Collage
Week 2 Lecture
Mr. Fauzi briefed students on the introduction to basic composition, the rules of thirds, the golden ratio, and composition framing and cropping. These are tips that will help us create and arrange our physical collage.
1. Physical Collage Exercise
Students were instructed to prepare to design a physical collage as an exercise for the preparation of our first project, which is to make a digital collage.

When I consulted with Mr Fauzi, he chose Composition #3, which has the fewest elements. He eliminated a few other elements and advised me to readjust the composition. Looking back at the lecture notes, I decided to apply the golden ratio principle to my final composition, and the outcome looks much better!

2. Reflection
In the second week, we created a physical collage using elements from magazines. After receiving feedback from Mr. Fauzi, I applied the golden ratio to my design, which enhanced its composition. I really enjoyed the process and was pleased with the final result. This week helped me tap into my creativity and gave me a deeper appreciation for design principles.
